Our Mission
BC Thoroughbred Owners & Breeders Association has a sole purpose: To act as One Voice for Thoroughbred owners & breeders in British Columbia.
Our goal is to promote the racing, breeding, ownership and marketing of Thoroughbred horses.
We aim to provide leadership to the Thoroughbred racing and breeding industry through education, training, employment and promotion.
We are available to assist members in dealing with race track operators, governmental agencies and international industry organizations.

British horse racing has published its first diversity and inclusion action plan as a steering group says parts of the sport are 'out of kilter with modern British society'. The Deloitte Sports Business Group has produced three studies for the British Horseracing Authority (BHA) to profile the economic impact of the British Racing industry We have produced three studies into the Economic Impact of the British Horseracing industry for the governing body of racing. Results and video replays from meetings including Newbury, Doncaster, Kelso, Lingfield, Southwell, Navan, Angers, Cagnes-sur-Mer, Deauville, Vincennes, Meydan. The British Horse Society (BHS) has produced information & advice for horse owners & business owners during the Coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak.

Bill RandallDirectorSenior Vice President of Cushman & Wakefield The Randall family has been involved in racing since 1919. Bill is an owner of several horses and is the president of New Stride Thoroughbred Adoption Society. | Stuart CarmichaelDirectorStuart is a partner at CWPC Property Consultants Ltd. in Vancouver. He has been a Thoroughbred owner all his life, (before moving to Canada) and is also the owner of Shannon Stables is Southlands, which is an accredited foster farm for the New Stride Thoroughbred Adoption Society. |
