Roulette Shot Game — A classic. Not just for college parties, with staying at home more prevalent. Jun 5, 2012 - Unique gambling gifts from across the globe. If you're buying for a gambler, we've compiled some great gift ideas for you. And so do our gift suggestions!:).
Here are our top 10 gift picks for the gambler in your life.
1) Roulette Shot Game — A classic
Not just for college parties, with staying at home more prevalent than ever, we could all use a little fun—and even better if a few drinks are involved. We love this classic roulette shot game, sure to bring you fun when you’re cooped up over the holidays.
If you don’t drink, try mixing it up by introducing ‘weird’ foods to try instead of a shot, like olives in gelatin, or pickled eggs.
2) Limited Edition Balm Dotcalm Roulette
For the person in your life who hates chapped lips and loves table games, there’s the Glossier Balm Dotcalm roulette pack. Try your luck and get 3 of their fragrant & moisturizing lip balms—The catch? You don’t know which 3 you’ll get.
3) Electronic Slot Game
Land-based casinos aren’t for everyone right now, particularly as Covid-19 increasingly keeps us indoors — if online slotsdon’t scratch your slot itch, try a handheld slot game (where you can even make wagers). Close your eyes, get a drink — it’s almost like you’re really there.
4) Bring the Casino Home
Enhance your next game of Texas Hold’em poker or blackjack with a brand new set of chips, never worry about a spilt beer with waterproof cards, or pick up a keno game to bring a specialty game straight to your living room table.
5) Casino (1995) Poster
What better to spruce that den up for poker night than a poster from a classic gambling movie like Casino? This is a unique gift, that’s especially nice to have on the wall at your next game night.
6) Casino Night
If you’re optimistic and think they’ll be open soon, consider planning a night to your favorite local casino, or, if you’re local, Las Vegas.
With the Coronavirus pandemic you might not feel like you’re getting the most ‘bang for your buck’, but if you have money to spare and want something to look forward to, you might want to splash out for this.
7) Card Protector / Card Guards
Maybe it’ll be the gambler in your life’s new lucky charm, but try buying the player in your life a new card protector. Poker table regulars often have some sort of card protector or coin they use to hold their cards down or protect them at the table, and a number are available on Amazon and eBay. Try getting something in red for a little extra luck — it couldn’t hurt.
8) Casino Décor
We already covered the fact that casinos are closed – what if you brought the casino to you? There are a number of casino-themed t-shirts, signs, bottle openers, and even socks available to adorn yourself, and your home.
9) Gambling books — Doyle Brunson’s Super System, by Doyle Brunson
There are many gambling books out there, and if poker’s not their game (or they’re not a Brunson fan) there are a number of other great books that involve strategies, biographies, and history to choose from.
Try ‘The Dark Side of the Felt’ by Tyler Nals for tales of what underground poker games are really like, Doyle Brunson’s Super System by Doyle Brunson for tips from a noted poker pro (this is said by some to be the ‘poker bible’), or The Gambler by Dostoyevsky for a classic fictional portrayal gambler Ivanovich & his losses.
Did you know Dostoyevsky wrote The Gambler to pay off his own gambling debts?
10) An Online Casino Membership
Why not get the gambling enthusiast in your life some playing time at your favorite online casino? They get to play their favorite games, and you don’t need to step foot in a store or post office.
Check out our casino reviews to discover the best casino experience to gift someone (or yourself—we don’t judge).
We’re well and truly into the runup to Christmas now, and while the big day will be upon us before we know it, there’s still enough time to grab some awesome gifts for your gambling friends and family members.
I’ve been scouring the web looking for something to buy some good friends of mine who are into casino games. I’ve come up with the following list, and I wanted to share it with you.
Check out these great Christmas gifts for gamblers…
Something for Online Gamblers
We all have that one friend who always has their face buried in their phone as they play slots, blackjack, or roulette. Whoever you just thought of when I said that might appreciate a plethora of bonuses at an awesome new casino site.
Why not recommend one to them through a refer a friend scheme? Not only will your friend be eligible for multiple new bonuses, but you can get one for referring them, too.
I’d recommend the refer a friend program at Sportsbetting.ag. It’s one of our highest-rated gambling sites, and your friend will definitely appreciate the recommendation.
If it benefits both of you, that’s double the number of reasons to do it, right?
Something for Slots Players
Do you know someone who just loves to spin the reels? I do, and I came across this cool replica slot machine which I thought she might like.
This tabletop slot has sound effects, a jackpot light, and a chrome trim. It’s just like the real thing.
This is actually a piggy-bank, which makes it doubly awesome. There are very few slots which offer guaranteed payouts at the end, but this is one of them. Check it out on Amazon.com.
Something for Roulette Players
Everybody has their favorite game at the casino, and for more players than you might think, that’s roulette.
I admit I’m partial to a few spins on the roulette wheel myself and have lost more than a few hours playing it. If you’ve got a friend who loves this game, these super cool roulette cufflinks will go down a treat.
There were a few cool options I could have recommended here, but I had to give it to the Cuff-Daddy roulette cufflinks. They appear to be high-quality, and I like the style. Grab them before the postal system gets crazy!
Something for Craps Players
There’s hardly a casino player in the world that doesn’t get a major kick out of rolling the dice at the craps table. No doubt, it’s one of the most exciting games available in any casino.
While your craps-lovin’ friend won’t actually be able to use these at a casino, they will appreciate the gesture of these gorgeous, handmade wooden dice. If you combine these with a mini-craps table, they could practice their favorite game at home.
Sometimes it’s not about the utility of the gift, but about showing that you know and understand a part of what that person is about. Combine that with something genuinely fantastic-looking, and you’ve got a winner of a gift in these!
Something for Card Players
A great gift doesn’t have to cost a fortune. As I said above, the essence of what makes a gift great is showing the person you have thought about it and understand them as a person.
If you’re shopping for someone who loves playing blackjack, baccarat, poker, or other card games, a deck of custom-made playing cards could be a great way to show them you’ve put some thought into their gift.
With this gift, you can select the design of the cards and tailor them to your friend’s interest. This way, you combine two things they love or are interested in – a gift they will surely appreciate.
There are many sites you can get custom playing cards made on, but we recommend checking out Makeplayingcards.com. Again, be sure to order these quickly so they arrive before the Christmas postal rush.
Christmas Gifts For Gamers
Something for Poker Players
If the custom playing cards don’t appeal, or you want to get something more specific to poker, what about a personal poker set?
I picked one of these up for myself last year, and I still use it regularly to entertain the guys when they come over. Combine a poker night with a few beers and the night takes care of itself.
You can pick up a high-quality set of poker chips and cards in a heavy-duty aluminum case for as little as $30 on Amazon. If you’ve left it too late for that, most toy stores have something similar.
Something for Any Gambler
While all of the token gifts above are nice, you could step things up a notch by getting your gambling friend or family member a real-world casino experience.
There are a few ways to approach this. Some casinos offer gift vouchers which they could use the next time they visit. Others offer entire packages where you could book them a weekend at the Wynn Resort or the Bellagio, for example.
I can’t recommend a specific package here because we don’t know exactly where you are in the world, but take a look at this list of some of the packages offered by the Bellagio. Any of those would make for an unforgettable gift!
If an entire package is outside your budget, why not consider getting them tickets to one of the many live events which happen at casinos around the world? For example, some of the biggest stars in the world put on concerts at famous casinos. Combine that with a $100 gift voucher to use at the tables, and they could have a heck of a good time without breaking your bank account.
Christmas Gifts For Sports Gamblers
Clothes for Gamblers
One thing which is always appreciated at Christmas is something stylish, right?
I came across several cool T-shirts, jumpers, hoodies, and ties which would compliment a gambler’s existing wardrobe. You can take a look on Amazon.com, and you’ll find lots of cool options.
For example, take a look at this long-sleeved T-Shirt. I am going to purchase this one for myself.
No Time Left? Gambling-Related Gifts You Can Buy Right Now
If you’ve really left things until the last minute and there isn’t a chance that online purchases will arrive on time, in which case I’d wager you’re a guy since we’re almost all guilty of this, check out these gift ideas you can snap up in an instant.
- Buy scratchcards. Gamblers simply love to gamble, and scratchcards can be a heck of a lot of fun. Buy a few at your local store and pop them into a card to see their faces light up. You could combine this with another gift like a nice item of clothing.
- Place a bet for them. You could do this online or in a physical betting shop if there are any in your idea. Think of what team your friend supports and place a bet with a potentially awesome payout for them. Better yet, find out if the bookmaker gives bet vouchers. Many do, and then they can choose which bet they want to place themselves.
- Grab game tickets. The great thing about tickets is they don’t take any time to arrive. You can just print them out and pop them in a card. If a concert in a Vegas casino is out of the question, why not book your horse racing fanatic cousin a day at the races or your friend who bets on every New York Giants game a ticket for a big game? These aren’t necessarily directly linked to gambling, but if you’re sure they’ll place a bet on the event anyway, it’ll make it much more exciting if they’re actually there.
- Give the gift of crypto. If you can’t find an online casino which gives gift vouchers and the refer a friend idea above doesn’t appeal, considering buying a token amount of Bitcoin and giving it to your friend. Just holding it is gambling in and of itself, and is a heck of a lot of fun, but they’ll also be able to use it at many of the crypto-friendly casinos online. You’ll need to help them set up a Bitcoin wallet and transfer it to them.
